Are the internal drives just regular IDE drives? Can I just go out and buy
one at my local computer store, or are they something proprietary?

can be quickly and easily solved outsite of the Web Based GUI, but it
appears that many may not understand how to fix things outside of the web
based GUI. I think that for site administrators its a perfect solution, but
you still must have a clue as to the internal workings to be a successful
machine administrator.

real world. Drives are known to fail and its a part of being a machine
administrator. This is not just with Cobalts - I have drives fail all the
time throughout our data center on all types of hardware, especially IDE
drives. I would suggest using a hot swappable raid solution, with a quick
disaster recovery back up if you can not live with drive failure.
