I'd like to thank you for reiterating this. The knowledge base is your
friend. However, I didn't get the impression that Robert wasn't doing his
due diligence. I didn't follow his thread (I don't like or use FP ext.),
but it seemed legitimate problem.

Having an MCSE doesn't necessarily mean anything (positive or negative). I
chose not to persue my MCSE certification a couple years back after I felt
it lost a lot of credibility with the advent of MCSE boot camps and paper
MCSEs. I have other certifications that I think are more important. And I
have a hell of a lot of experience with Windows, Mac, and *nix. A friend of
mine is Cisco, RedHat, & his MCSE and is still is *nix guy. He just got the
certification because it was easy and meant a raise/additional credibility
(perhaps). Both us have skills to back up our certs, so we have nothing to
worry about. So having NT skills or even an MCSE doesn't imply jack
anything. You shouldn't make such a summary judgement of the guy. Who
knows he may be a Cisco geek that can run routing circles around you!

I admit I have not been impressed by hardly any of the MCSEs I've met, but
also haven't been really impressed with "Unix Consultants" (typically they
tend to be script kiddies). So to play devils advocate, what the hell is a
Unix system admin? Are you actually running Unix? That sounds to me like a
script kiddie sort of title. How about Solaris System Admin or Linux System
Admin or BSD Admin, etc? Saying that you're a Unix admin, which pretty much
no one is, implies that you don't really know what you are talking about.
Sure it makes sense to the Windows weenies, but for a guy like me who knows
the difference, it makes you seem amateurish. I'm not trying to dog you, I
have no doubt that you are technically competent. I am just saying that
making public judgements can come back to you.

So be glad that we're not on here dogging you for

OMG. I *can not* believe it has come to this. I realize he started this
line, but I can't believe you would actually respond to it.

Let me pull out my digital ruler so we can settle this once and for all.

nutz.
