Thanks, Gordon and Mike,
and yes jwaugh@xxxxxxxxxxx (jerry) and gerald@xxxxxxxxx (gerald) are the
same person. I apologize if I was flooding the list with my problem?
But, this Qube2 is not going to talk!
I tried a crossed ethernet cable to a standalone workstation and it still
will not talk!
I think I better get an RMA from Cobalt.
I did want to try monitoring the serial port, but I see nothing! I even put
a scope on the tx pin and I see nothing.
I would think that Cobalt would give some instructions concerning the serial
port on a Qube 2.
The reference Mike gave indicated that the serial port uses 115.2 k baud, I
thought it used 9.6.
I tried monitoring the serial port with minicom and a null modem cable, but
no luck.
Then does it use hardware handshaking?, or software? is it 7 bits with
parity? or is it 8 bits?
is it 1 stop bit? 1-1/2 or 2?
