There are two parts to this answer:
(1) configure /etc/aliases
(2) talk to your webserver using lynx, a perl script, or some similar method

(1) add a line to /etc/aliases that looks like
someuserid:      "|/path/to/my/script"

then type "newaliases"


(2) your script has to take standard input and pass that to your php script.
