That's not really that high. Its also relative to what kind of service you
are getting. Is $15/mo difference even worth *comparing* let alone using it
as a primary evaluation point? The services between one vendor and the next
varies quite a bit, and trust me on this one, you DON'T want to pick the
wrong authorization vendor. It will cost you astronomically higher costs in
customer service, lost revenues and software development costs. If there is
anything I could recommend about picking vendor in this respect, it is: do
you due diligence on this and don't pick the wrong people. And certainly
don't do it for a measly $15-$20 bucks a month.

I just got done re-evaluating our options for an upcoming project. We're
planning on going with Signio. They appear to be very developer friendly,
give you an API and everything to connect up to their authorization network.
Also the average transaction time is 3 seconds, which is really good
compared to what I have experienced with other services. And they come
highly recommended from quite a few experienced developers. Much better
than Authorized.net from what I hear.

I will let you all know for sure how it works out (site should be going live
in probably 8 weeks) after we're up and running.
