Hello,
I posted this message already however I don't seem to be getting through (I
haven't seen it hit the digest yet) so please pardon me if this is a
duplicate...
We are trying to migrate an existing IMAP mail server to a RaQ2 and just
noticed that we are not able to create subfolders in an IMAP account. Is
this not possible? We desperately need this functionality, am I missing
something? Most of our users are using Outlook Express, is this simply an
incompatibility? How can we configure the in-built email service to allow
this, or what other packages would you recommend we install instead? Or
should we just return this thing?
Has anyone successfully implemented a viable IMAP4 server on a RaQ2? We were
just told that Cobalt does not support the software, and were also told that
a tech could create subfolders in Eudora (little help to us) so they said it
must be an Outlook problem, but I just tried this in Eudora and had no
consistent luck except a few odd errors...
This experience speaks poorly for a product that was, in general, so highly
reviewed and recommended... right now our decision tree is branching between
stable email (RaQ2 hopefully) and consistent functionality/compatibility
(AppleShareIP 6.3)... we hoped to get away from the ASIP mail package for
better stability (it has really been biting us the past few months) but we
cannot do this at a compromise for the functionality our organization
demands.
Please help! Thanks for your attention,
Roger Howard
