Bruce Timberlake was once list-owner for the cobalt-users list.

Hopefully Craig will agree to send Bruce all the files relating the list 
and Bruce will agree to set them up somewhere, moving the list.

But if he doesn't, there are some other sources.  I'm downloading the 
raw mbox files right now; when I'm done I'll see how big they are and 
if indeed they contain all the messages.

I also have fairly complete archives going back many years, spread out 
over several platforms.

I'm sure others do, as well, and of course there's the archives at the 
Marc Group (have I got that right?).

I understand that there are some people who think I'm fracturing the 
community; what I'm trying to do is successfully move the list.

I've been on mailing lists since about 1977, and I've seen many lists 
moved, often after their original matainers disappear.

It will be a lot of work to populate mailman archives with the mbox 
format file, but it is doable.  If you have experience in doing it and 
want to help please contact me.

It can be done.  And hopefully it will be.
