Hm. Where did you get the CD? There was never any sort of official
upgrade CD for RaQ 4 -> RaQ XTR. There was a CD floating around
internally that would let you run XTR OS on a RaQ 4; the sales team used
it to demo XTR capabilities on a RaQ 4 before the actual XTR was
completed, but it was never released for external use AFAIK. It was also
an early XTR build; subsequently there were a number of patches added to
the "production" XTR build.
The only quasi-official OS upgrade for RaQ 4 is the RaQ 550 OSRCD...
Not sure how you'd bring it back, but a serial cable is the only way to
see what's happening during the boot up.
