Then they've completely lied to me. On March 29, Tim Jackson wrote me:

Thanks for you enquiry into TSEL for Cobalt servers. I am
currently working on providing you with a version of TSEL for cobalt.
With regards to installation of the OS, this would be done by booting
the server from a network location that points to a CD copy of TSEL.

They know what they're doing; they're lying about it being ready. The
rep told me I could go to the website and order it; it was only after I
told him I wouldn't do that

If I did, and they didn't deliver, they'd get an immediate "Fraudulent
Billing" complaint to the CC company.

I originally got an email from Steve Roylance, who wrote me:

<snip>
Our new flexible pricing system is tailored to match your billing
requirements. The demise of pay-per-incident support by Microsoft for
NT towards the end of 2004 and the withdrawal by Sun Microsystems of
the Cobalt brand, which holds some 21% of the Web Hosting market, has
left a void that Trustix™ Secure Enterprise Linux is perfectly suited
to fill.
</snip>

I called and asked what this had to do with Sun Cobalt; they were
selling an OS, and the Cobalt sold an appliance.

That's when the rep on the phone told me they had a system I could
install that would upgrade the OS to Trustix and leave the entire
Cobalt GUI system intact.

He even tried to get me to order it right then.

I'm going to call my rep in their cert organization Monday morning, and
tell him I'm looking for a new cert provider because I don't do
business with liars.

If you know of a cert in the same price range (we sell Comodo certs
beginning at $47.95/year) let me know.

Yes we do, but better we wait for a product that admittedly isn't
available than a product that isn't available from a company that says
it is and asks for a prepaid order.
