Depending on how much that hardware solution is, maybe look at
installing/rolling your own gateway mail server. We did a Debian on a white
box using MailScanner and SpamAssassin, total cost was about $300.00, but we
used a used motherboard. YMMV, but was pretty simple, just some tweaking and
it's humming now.


There is probably a market for these completely built out, using open source solutions and similar linux builds, I'd buy one, possibly two (one primary, one secondary).
