Must just be banging letters in quickly, clearing, then banging more letters
in one position offset.
It's a way of doing it but not as effective as a display where you can just
tell it to shift everything one pixel accross.
Either that or the datasheet I found on the web was defective <grin>

The main problem with playing off a reasonable system with LCDs is they are
so darn slow to respond. I've not got a machine in the office here, they are
all in London, so I can't have a proper play at a decent level with the way
it works.
