NAS is fairly expensive. What would you recommend for mid-size businesses to
scale up from RAQ to the next level?

Maildir mailstorage and multiple POP3 servers using LDAP authentication, 
all looking at the same NAS (Network Attached Storage).

We build these solutions for our clients as need arises.
