A free packages list may be easy to add, but maybe hard to maintain. If you
ONLY add pkg files, you would be quite incomplete, since many things can be
acomplished with a single rpm too. If you do include rpm's, i think
maintaing a list would be near to impossible with guys like Zeffie listing
hundreds and hundreds of rpm's.

So the question is -i think- would a list of only pkg files be valuable to
the community. Especialy considering that if vendor #a makes a package for
free that vendor #b try's to sell, such a list might actualy hurt commercial
package creation, in the longer run bleeding the Cobalt 'scene' even earlyer
to death. This in particular is the reason free packages are not included in
this list, [ and among others one of the reasons why i never create complete
install scripts or packages from install howto's on my site. ]Personally i
don't need to make money off the cobalt's for a living, but some other
people around here do.

Opinions and thoughts appreciated.
