Installing RaQ 550 - Perl v5.6.0 (fix) , fixes the problem but as you can
see it's not perl 5.8

thanks for your quick reply, but:

Run the dbmtest.pl in the uty dir. of OWM and see what it gives you. Use
those parameters in your dbm.conf file and run the init again.
