Re: [cobalt-users] Modifying vacation.pl parameters

Regardless of whether you can get it to reply and say what you want if you
set all email to bounce back with this you won't stop Spam this way because
spammers never have a working reply address. I use this on one domain to
bounce back an email with another contact email address in it. The message
says "we only answer questions in our forum but if you need to contact us
for another reason please use this address".

If you can't figure out how to get this working or would like another
alternative try http://www.mailwasher.net/

I live by this program. It's a small program that prechecks your email then
allows you to chose to bounce it back to the sender or just delete it from
the mail server without ever downloading it to your computer. I bounce all
the Spam just because it make me feel better.

It id's most Spam and virus email automatically. It also has a black list
feature.

Free and paid versions are available. I use the pro version. I am not
affiliated with these guys at all, I just use and like the program.

Hi List -
I'm trying to do something a little unconventional,
and am having a devil of a time here. Perhaps some
wise soul can lend a hand.

I would like to modify parts of the vacation
autoresponder on one of our RaQ2's so that instead of
saying "Automated Reply from <foo@xxxxxxxxxx>" in the
subject, I can make it say whatever I like.

In this particular case, I want it to appear that all
email is bouncing (don't ask!) but still have it
delivered to the POP3. Which is working out great,
but the "Automated Reply from" sort of gives it away.

Ideas? THANKS!
