I have a similar problem, but my box only does this if it thinks the senders
domain is bad.  For instance it will add my domain if the user enters
hotmai.com instead of hotmail.  I posted questions on it here (
http://list.cobalt.com/pipermail/cobalt-users/2002-July/074448.html ) and
the closest I ever got to curing the problem was finding out it's a matter
of turning off "always add domain'.  I'd imagine turning this off is pretty
easy, but I never actually found out how.

Sorry I can't be any more help than that, but at least this might give you a
start.  If you manage to find out, please post it here so I can cure it too.
