Hey all 
I have seen this one problem on many different ftp server so 
Maybe you should be able to answer this easy.

When I try to connect to the xtr with command line 
I get a delay for the logon prompt.. maybe 8 to 10 seconds 
With just a blinking cursor...
Then the user prompt comes up

With ssh its instant...

Also in ftp programs I get the same lag...
I tell them to connect and then I wait 10-15 seconds
Iv tried pasv mode (doesn't help)

Currently I using a home dsl router running nat
And figured that might be part of it
But when I connect to most other ftp servers on the net
It doesn't occur
Is there a way to resolve this time out...

Is there a log I can check to determine what is going on?
