Do not know about Tomcat....
I have used Java on my servers for years....
Where on the Sun site did you see the Java stuff for cobalt ???

BTW: You have a broken cgi in your main website
           You get a cgi wrapper file error... You may need
           to set that script to chown to 755
           Your ftp program should allow that...
