AW: AW: [cobalt-users] k6-3 cpu's in raq 4?

it certainly does... but if upgrading from a k6-2 to a k6-3 is really woth
the effort and money? i don'think so. it's just a very little performance
increase. does anyone know who originally manufactured the raq-mainboards
for cobalt?

Interesting!
There are different verions of the K6-III CPU though, for instance
core-voltage may differ.
The lower the core-voltage the less heat dissipated for a CPU rated at the
same speed.

The K6-III processors are difficult to obtain, we are looking for them as it
appears that the increase of instruction cache size from 64KB (K6-2) to
128KB (K6-III) does impact performace.
