Hi all
I've asked the list this one before with no luck - but just experienced the
problem
again so thought it was worth another try.
Got a RAQ4 that's been having problems recently - and following the latest
crash
we ended up with a directory that was inaccessible because the leading 'd'
on the
permissions had been replaced with a '?'
As far as I can see all you can do with a directory like this is delete it.
Does anyone
know how you might be able to go about fixing it so it is accessible again?
As it happens this was a .cobalt directory that I was able to grab from
another
server and reinstate - but it seems to be a directory chosen at random which
is
kind of worrying as it could easily have been a system file. Or am I barking
up the
wrong tree - does it sound like the directory was being accessed at the time
of the
crash?
Could really do with some advice on this one - I'm no server admin but for
some
reason I seem to be wearing the hat...
Thanks
Phil
