[cobalt-users] Re: Sun Cobalt Qube3 on RedHat white box

As I understand at open.cobaltcube.org are trying to port the Cobalt Qube3
AND RAQ 550 software on RedHat 9.

Yes. I misread their site, and thought that BlueQuartz was the name of the 550 port, and that the Qube port was being called something else. Apparently that is not the case, so I'm not sure how to differentiate them.

I'm interested in installing Qube3 software on a white box runnning RedHat 9 or on any other recent linux distribution... It seems that BlueQuarz project is doing very well but still some features are missing...

I think you want to follow the howto for the Qube software

http://open.cobaltqube.org/docs/HowToCreateOpenQube.txt

and not the BlueQuartz one, if you want all the Qube features... RaQ 550 does not have many of them as it was designed like other RaQs to be a multi-domain hosting platform, while the Qube is a small biz/workgroup all-in-one server.

It does look like there are still some outstanding issues with the Qube port though...
