Should read
Type; pico -w /etc/fstab and edit the /home mount point to make sure it
looks like;
JimS> Yes, I figured that one out ;-)... I did in fact modify the /home to
show
as you had it listed.
For the rest several installs succeeded with nothing special. Note that
after the BlueQuartz install the root password is changed to "admin".
JimS> Tried to log in with the root that combination and it did not work.
Tried admin/admin root/admin root/mypreviouspassword. None of these
worked. Also the second time around I even changed the password before
rebooting and after the reboot was no longer able to log into the console.
You can check to see if the httpd server is running with "ps -ef | grep
httpd" , most installs seem to fail because the FQDN is not valid, and the
httpd server does not start, thus not offering access to the admin
interface. If that is the case, use the hostname command to set a temp.
Fqdn, and manual start the admin interface. The exact steps needed for that
are outlines in the Qube3 whitebox howto (same site, top news item).
JimS> I get the website no problem. However when I attempt to login it comes
back with a message saying the session has expired and to log in again.
I am going to make a base install tonight and ghost it. That way it is easy
to start
over again ;-)... Using an older machine so the base install takes a while.
Any ideas
on things to look for are appreciated.
Bob.
