Your certificate is working correctly, but it is not signed by an
Authority that your browser trusts. So you have to manually tell your
browser to trust this certificate.

Yes, if you want all browsers to trust the certificate by default, you
have to buy it from some trusted CA. We are using
http://www.instantssl.com/ . They also have some specific instructions
for how to use their certificate on a RaQ
http://www.instantssl.com/ssl-certificate-support/csr_generation/ssl-cer
tificate-index.html. Their prices start at $49.
