[cobalt-users] Qube2 PPP problem

Hi,

We are using a Qube2 with a PPP permanent connection via Telstra Bigpond
Direct.

We are having problems with traffic via the PPP interface. (Poor
performance, packets being lost etc)

I've tried establishing the PPP interface manually using pppd.
(Diald did connect to Telstra but set some weird routes and interfaces,
mainly sl0 was conflicting with our internal ethernet interface)
The same network symptoms exist when establishing the ppp interface via
diald or manually using pppd

The log file indicates that everything is okay when pppd connects and
brings up the interface. The routing looks fine also.

I've also connected to the Telstra service with another machine (i386
Redhat 6.1) using the same ppp configuration and the link is fine.

I've also tried switching off NAT and manually flushing the ipfwadm rules.

Is anyone else experiencing problems connecting their Qube2 to Telstra?
Also if someone has info regarding weird routing configuration that may be
needed, this would be appreciated.

The qube2 has all the system patches/upgrades installed.
