I have one RAQ XTR server say server1 hosted by an ISP with domain1.com and a second server (RAQ2) say server2 in our intranet with domain2.com. The intranet server (server2) is connected to internet through a gateway and can directly accept mails to domain2.com from internet. The users in both servers are same, but the dialup users (about 50 percent ) access mails through Internet. I want to have server1 send a copy of all mails it receive to sever2 so that users can access mails from the server1 or server2. Server2 is expected to receive mails from server1 only. If I give same priority in MX entries, one of the servers will be selected at random, which I don't want. Server2 must receive a copy of all mails server1 receive. It will also serve as a backup for server1.
This can be achieved with a .forward file in the home directory of the users in server1. But I have more than 1000 users and I don't want to keep 1000 .forward files in the server. I examined procmail, but it also handle individual cases only. How can I send a copy of all mails server1 receive to server2 in an easy way.ie. mails at user@xxxxxxxxxxx in server1 must have a copy at user@xxxxxxxxxxx at server2.
