HI folks, just a quick thank you to those who have assisted me this
evening with various suggestions to the above problem, turns out to be
a problem with the group ownership of the script (and there's a bug
in the script too).
For some unknown reason when the file was uploaded to the server it
was assigned the wrong group membership, along with this there was a
problem in the srm.conf file (the Action cgi-wrapper option was
commented out).
Corrected that problem and all of a sudden the whole server started
to allow cgi's to work again.
