Clean install of the OS is the best bet...
If it is a Qube 2 ... use the Raq 2 OS
if it is a Qube 3 ... use the Raq 550 OS
(personal pref.)
iso files can be found here
ftp://ftp.cobalt.sun.com/pub/iso/
960-RAQ20101AU RaQ 2 English
259-3894-13-RaQ550 RaQ 550
The Qube/Raq 2 is a MIPS base cpu
The Qube 3 and Raq3-4-550-XTR based is intel base
The Raq 550 is a Intel CPU and the rest is AMD cpu's
Not sure on the XTR
there are some tricks with the 550 os to work on a qube 3
because some of the updates are cpu dependent...
Just keep an eye on this group
Another note: No futher updates from Cobalt on the
Qube 2/Raq2 and Raq 3 OS excep what is on the website
Some good links can be found here

Installing some updates not specifically by Cobalt is some
what tricky and can give you problems like breaking the GUI!!
and a sleepless night!!
