Interestingly, using exim on a secondary MX we no longer find it
impossible (or even hard) to run RBLs, Spam-Assassin, and virus checks
there. We're even able to check for users if our clients will give us
their user list for their secondary MX (we obviously can't check for it
if the primary is down).

Running email services is no longer as easy as it once was; they key is
to continue to adapt.

We find that facing the internet with exim is a great way to keep up; we
clean email with exim and then move it downstream to the RaQs, which
aren't advertised in MX.

We're also looking into setting up RaQs so they won't accept email from
any IP# except ours, so spam and virii should be a thing of the past.
