On our RaQ3 turned RaQ550, we have about 80 domains
running. Late last week, we encountered trouble
creating, modifying, or removing e-mail accounts or
aliases.
After viewing /etc/mail/virtusertable, we found the
file to be filled with unintelligible ascii
characters.
I backed up the virtusertable and virtusertable.db
files to another location and then removed them. That
fixed the problem with creating / removing accounts
and aliases.
The problem I now have is that none of the aliases
work. Aliases are still listed in the GUI. When I
create a new alias, it shows up in the virtusertable
file. I can tail -f /var/log/maillog and watch mail
that is sent to one of the aliases be received (not
rejected or bounced) by the server, but it doesn't get
delivered.
I have restarted inetd and also restarted the server
since then, and it has not made a difference.
Suggestions are appreciated!
