[cobalt-users] Majordomo newconfig chokes on restrict_post

As a siteadmin on a RaQ3, I've set up a mailing list using the web interface.
I want to change some of the configuration options such as setting a
moderation address. When I send Majordomo an email with a "newconfig"
command, it rejects it, complaining about a non-existent file:
>>>> newconfig bjc-announce xxxxxxxx
The new config file for bjc-announce was NOT accepted because:
Can't find restrict_post file /usr/local/majordomo/www.bjc.org.uk/lists/bjc-announce.new at line 390
There's nothing with ".new" in anywhere in the config data. I get the same
error message regardless of whether the line says:
restrict_post = bjc-announce
or
restrict_post =
or if it commented out completely.
Anyone any ideas what's going on? Or, better, how to fix it? The version of
majordomo on the RaQ is majordomo-1.94.4-1C8 . I've installed 1.94.4 (from
the SuSE distro) on my own Linux box and have no problems with newconfig.
My suspicion is that Cobalt have hacked the code to provide the web interface
and broken the email interface in doing so.
