Incidently, when we plug this same cablemodem into our
Windows95 box, it works fine.
Another symptom - we rebooted the RaQ3i, rebooted the
cablemodem, and still got the Request Time Out's. We unplugged the
cablemodem and plugged it into the PC and everything worked on the PC with no
rebooting, so we unplugged the cablemodem from the PC and plugged it back into
the RaQ3i and now the RaQ3i is accessible from the net. It's beginning
to look like a bum port on the RaQ3i, but being a linux appliance, there could
be something funky between the cablemodem and the eth port.
I'm getting close to packing this thing up and sending it
back to Cobalt for a refund. So far I have yet to see the 'up and
running in 15 minutes' part of this applicance. At least with IIS and NT
I know what I am doing.

Subject: Cablemodem
I have a cablemodem connected to the first eth port on a
RaQ3i. All the IP, subnet mask, and gateway settings are 110%
correct. When I first turn on the cablemodem and the RaQ3i, I can ping
the RaQ3i from the internet via dialup or another cablemodem no
problem. However, after it has been up for about 45 minutes or so, the
RaQ3i no longer responds, and when you ping it you get Request Time
Out's. Anyone have any ideas here?
