The admserv process is already loaded with root permissions, if you
reboot then this likely won't work either.  If this is a RaQ3, and
if someone can verify if LILO is installed...You could perhaps try
to connect to the console port and at bootup do a 'linux single' or
'linux init=/bin/sh' --> although, honestly, restore CD would be a
safer bet unless you can hookup a floppy with a boot disk...

Saying CD is safer because in the event that doesn't work -- the only
way to get to the drive then is to either A) take the RaQ apart and
connect the drive to another linux box so you can mount the filesystem
and edit the passwd file or B) send the box back to cobalt IFF the 
LILO trick failed...

Guess which option (CD vs LILO) Cobalt will support if you have
a problem :-).
