I don't create the site locally and then publish, if that has anything to do
with it. But, I'm not doing anything special. When I click to add an image
in the editor, I find the image in the /images directory. I just went
through one of the sites via FTP and found the images duplicated in the
/images/_vti_cnf directory, but I think these images are used during editing
on the server. Viewing the properties of any image in the browser shows that
it's being called from the /images directory and is properly cached by the
browser if it's repeated on another page.

So far, all the problems I've seen related to using FTP or messing with the
FrontPage site or httpd.conf files via Telnet. I really haven't seen any
problems just pop up on their own, except for problems that the server may
have no matter whether it's a FrontPage site or not.

For most clients who aren't going to learn a new piece of software or learn
HTML, it is the best way I've seen. It also allows them to simply add forms,
counters, site search functions, discussion board, all without any special
configuration or CGI scripts having to be added.
