RE: [cobalt-users] FW: [ Cobalt ] Security Advisory -- 03.31.2000 -reply1

Then in your co-locator provider is in the wrong, they should send you the
material regarding the particular configuration of your rented Cobalt RAQ.
It seems that this type of scenario is very similiar to GTE Site Patrol
(at least when I worked for them).. We sent a modified Administrator's
Guide and a modified Configuration Guide so that the customer was fully
aware of what they could setup and what they could not setup.

Security Advisories are listed on the web page. If security advisories
are issued, then your colo provider should apply them if applicable.

Which manuals are those? As you may not be aware, many of the users of the
Cobalt RAQ are renting collocated servers and do not have any material
from
Cobalt aside from what can be downloaded from their site. That manual is
not
very detailed and carries no information on the security patches.
I'm not who you're referring to as the "security administrator" in my
case.
I am chief cook and bottle washer. I guess I'll have to add security
administrator to my biz cards.
