do you mean /home/sites instead of websites?
Also when you changed the /etc/passwd did you do this to change the home
directory of users so when they logged in with FTP they'd change directory?
If so, this has a HUGE drawback. When you delete the user from the siteadmin
it'll delete everything from their home directory downwards. Eg if you
changed their home directory in /etc/passwd to /home/sites and then deleted
the user from the GUI, you'd also delete the ENTIRE /home/sites tree (ALL
websites).
As far as the GUI knows it shouldn't have had any manual changes and would
only delete their individual directory... but ofcourse that's not the case.
Does that help?

After rebooting, I telnet into the raq under admin and the directory
"websites" does not exist anymore! Only a few of the web sites come up and
there is no admin web site. I made some changes to the passwd file, would
that affect it?
