I hope that this is the correct forum for asking the questions that are
contained in this mail. I f it is not then could someone please provide me
with a source to answer my questions.
I am completely new to the use of the RaQ3 and I have been tasked with
testing one of our companies applications. Firstly, I have to create a
package to install the software and then test our application. This is where
my problems begin. I must apologise for what will undoubtedly be 'no-brain'
type questions, but please I really need someone's help.
The machines are remote to my site I am in the UK and they are in the US, my
understanding is that this should not pose me any problems, is this the
case?
Questions.
1, I have made a package following the instructions in the Cobalt Tech Note
and based on the supplied template.pkg. I have placed the package on one of
our Websites and then in the site admin I selected the package from this
location. I get a message 'Loading and Installing Package . This will take a
moment' and a Wristwatch animation. This never clears. Any ideas? If I
upload the package how do I then install the package?
2, In order for the application that I have installed to work I must place a
script in the cgi-bin. Does this need to be done in my package? Should I
make a separate package?
This leads to the third and hopefully the simplest question to answer.
3, How do I place HTML content on my site. I have looked in the ADMIN and
SITEADMIN sections without success. I am sure that this is easy to do.
Many Thanks for any help.
I am sure that this is going to be a long week.
Regards
Bob
