[cobalt-users] [RaQ2] PLEASE HELP Strange Error Message from Server

Hello all,

recently I had the same problem as I am reporting now and I thought to have
found the reason. Now the problem rised again and the cause I originally
thought to be reponsible is no longer existing...

Today I got the following error from my server

    Return-Path: <root>
    Received: (from root@localhost)
     by ns1.manitu.net (8.9.3/8.9.3) id SAA08931;
     Sat, 25 Mar 2000 18:15:15 +0100
    Date: Sat, 25 Mar 2000 18:15:15 +0100
    Message-Id: <200003251715.SAA08931@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
    From: admin@10b_site67
    To: sys@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Cc: ubrandherm@10b_site67
Subject: Site www.swimcity.de is close to or over quota.
    X-UIDL: eef654f27fd74c16989c77dd07718610

Site site25 is using 86.6% of its disk space quota on the Cobalt server.
This site should delete some files or else eventually it will be denied
the ability to add files to the Cobalt server.

The message is from admin@10b_site67 and NOT (what it should be) from
admin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, also the Cc: field is the same (it goes to the site
admin).

I also get a second email from the Mail Delivery Substem that it cannot
deliver the cc mail because the host 10b_site67 is not found.

Does anybody have an idea why my server does not place the right headers ? I
have not modified anything on my server that can influence this. The only
this that is mail realted is the pop-before-smtp patch.

I have checked the gui settings, but the server name is entered correctly. I
have not found anything in the KB.

I can say that "10b" is a mailing list on site 67 and that it seems that
it's the last mailing list added to the server. I don't know why this
influences the server's behaviour.

I also noticed that this behaviour affects the /etc/aliases file. Look at
the following entry:

    nheinisch: "|/usr/local/sbin/vacation.pl /var/vacation/nheinisch.msg
nheinisch@10b_site67", \nheinisch, heinisch@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The user "nheinisch" is NOT in site 67. I don't know why the gui did write
the name of the mailing list as hostname for the user. The right entry
should be

    nheinisch: "|/usr/local/sbin/vacation.pl /var/vacation/nheinisch.msg
nheinisch@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx", \nheinisch, heinisch@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

If anybody hay any ideas, PLEASE HELP me. Perhaps this is a bug in the
cobalt gui.

Manuel
