Already on Raq2's, it's:

[root /root]# /usr/bin/htpasswd -c testpass user1

(/usr/bin/htpasswd -c <name of your password file> <username>)

It will then prompt you for the password.

To add new users to an existing password file omit the -c flag.

Very useful. It would be nice to have a copy of makepass to create the
htaccess entries rather than going to the internet. Do you know of anywhere
it can be downloaded?
