[cobalt-users] Got $90 - Get 100% speed improvment in RaQ3 GUI

We recently dropped in a 128Mb DIMM in our RaQ3 with the 32Mb that came in 
it. We have always felt the GUI ran slow, but with the addition of the extra 
memory we are seeing at least a 100% increase in the speed the GUI updates. 
Well worth the $90 we spent on the memory.
We also expect a significant increase in the performance of our machine 
also. Right now we are running VERY low CPU and Memory utilization, but as 
we move our larger sites over we expect this to increase.

In case your wondering (We asked 3 people at Cobalt and got 3 different 
answers) the RaQ3 uses standard, generic 100 DIMMS. We used Kingston 
KVR-PC100/128. We spoke with a gentleman at Kingston and he indicated their 
"ValueRAM" was the same as their higher priced "Retail" RAM. It was just 
priced more aggressively and "aimed" at the OEM's
