Really? Webfusion in Nottingham, UK is such a good company to do
business with? I sign up with them at Xmas and did not use what I sign
up for and so was entitled to my money back after sending them fax and
letter at end of Jan that I wasn't going to use their services and can I
get my money back which I paid for a whole year? After 7 weeks of
waiting and lots of calls, they only refund my money the very next day
after I threatened to take them to the county court - how professional
is that! And they removed a 100 pounds for some admin charge as well!

So I am now with UKSolutions because they appear to know more about NT
boxes as well as Unix ones.

I needed an NT box to run some components as well as ASP with SQL 7 db
for its referential integrity and transactions rollback.

I now have the problem as to how do I talk to my SQL 7 db from my RAQ3?

Is it easy to access with PERL? Do I have to install PHP as it supports
more databases?

>Okay, so I now have to find out just exactly what is in a RAQ3. So,
How secure is the RAQ3 as supplied by cobalt?

Should I replace telnet and ftp with ssh? I know I am a Unix newbie but
I am learning fast. I was a C programmer for a long time.

When I set up a windows sharing with my NT box for doing the backups
from the GUI, and I had a look at the cron script, I was horrified to
see that the password for the share access was in clear text. How do I
set it so the backup is done via the samba encrypted password thing?

I have learnt quite a lot hovering around this list. If anybody can
help, it is much appreciated.

Many thanks
Keith
