[cobalt-users] DHCP goes belly up?

I went on vacation for a few days with my network running smoothly. When I
returned, I discovered my PCs no longer saw the Internet. Each PC came back
up after a reboot with self-assigned IPs. I cannot get them to use DHCP
services. The Qube says everything looks hunky-dorey -- yet I suspect it
just doesn't know it stopped providing DHCP services. I invoked a
workaround by assigning each PC an IP, and of course *now* I can see the
Qube and the network.

This leads me to ask a simple question. How did I screw up my network while
away on vacation? Did I leave the network untouched for longer than 86,400
seconds, perhaps? (I'm grasping at straws here.)

On a (possibly related?) note, "run-parts /etc/cron.daily" generates
multiple "unexpected EOF" and "syntax error" messages. How can I repair
these errors?
