Hi again

Here's the full story of me trying to get my Qube2 to use dial out on a
scheduled basis and collect the mail for my domain, as per the specs and
sales literature.  I do not wish to use the Qube as a router for the web as
i already have a working solution and my web and e-mail ISPs are separate.

What happens at the moment is this, I send mail from my Outlook 98 to the
Qube, the Qube then immediately dials out to send the mail.  This is not
what i want.  I want it to send and receive on a scheduled basis.

My setup is as follows.

The Qube is setup with an IP address of 192.168.0.10 and my domain name.
The default gateway is modem.

The mail is setup to send and receive e-mail every hour as per the qube 2
mail setup parameters.

I have the modem set to dial out on demand.  The only other options are not
used, and permanently connected

The Qube is setup as the primary Domain Name Server serving my domain name.
I have also setup a mail server lookup thus,  mydomain.com.au mail is sent
to the mail server mail.bigpond.com.  If i don't do this i get no mail and i
can't send.

DHCP is on.

My Win 98 PC is setup with a fixed IP.  (192.168.0.22).
My gateway is 192.168.0.254 (a separate router for web browsing)
The DNS is setup to refer to 192.168.0.10 and secondly 192.168.0.254. (if i
don't include the second level of DNS lookup i cannot get resolution of
domains on the web, thereby killing my web access).

No matter how i play with these settings, the Qube dials out as soon as
internet bound mail is sent to it.  I have run out of options and pretty
close to running out patience.

If anyone can see anything here that strikes them as causing this problem,
please help.

PS :	Thanks for previous posts on this subject but i'm beginning to think
