I just went and did some testing.. As of Sat afternoon I was indeed seeing
the Thawte cert when hitting SSL pages.. This AM I am no longer seeing the
Thawte cert but the Verisign cert.. My browser has been restarted
comepletly cleared of all cookies and the cache was cleared.
I just had an interliant tech do some testing with me.. He entered my
shopping cart, added an item to the cart, and clicked check out. On the
payment/shipping page when he checked the cert it showed as the Thawte
cert. I was doing the same thing.. mine showed the versign cert. We clicked
secure submit and I got the generic DNS error that I emailed earlier about,
he proceeded to the confirm your order page. When he checked the cert at
that point he was looking at the verisign cert.. NOT the Thawte. I clicked
BACK and clicked again secure submit and proceeded to the same page.. and I
was still also seeing the versign cert. We both clicked place order and we
were both looking at the verisign cert not the Thawte.
The verisign cert gives a Name does not Match error.. the Thawte does not..
The verisign cert expires 10/00 the Thawte expires 3/01
I feel this is a serious problem, possibly with the SSL package built into
the RaQ3i.
