Tell him to use Allaire HomeSite 4.5. It'll do everything VID will do, only
MUCH more intuitively, and without all the FP hooey that'll drive you nuts.
At ~$90/copy, it's a great tool.

Subject: [cobalt-users] FP Extensions/InterDev interaction on RaQ3i
Hiya,
I have a developer who would like to use Microsoft Visual Interdev
to develop pages on our RaQ3i. The Raq is running the Front Page
extensions, which I gather is a requirement for Interdev (I'm not
to keen on Interdev, but it's what he wants to use, and I'm unsure
of all its requirements).
When he tries to set up a new project, it asks for the server that
will be used. He types in the name of the Raq, and gets an error
message returned that says "Can not connect to remote server." Using
the IP address doesn't work, either.
Anyone have experience with developing web applications using Interdev
for the Raq? Perhaps I'm just missing a step or two?
TIA,
Rog.
