Brenda, and others.. We are confussed here as well.. We had thought
originally and in the past that it was the fan.. However, in previous
tests we have cracked the box open and put it in a room with no other
noise and listened directly to the drive and to the fan. It was the
drive every time. The thing that is strange about this box, and that we
have not noticed in the past is that it is hot. ie., lookin from the
back of the box, the right side of the box is hotter than any other box
in the Rack. The fan is working in this box and it is blowing air. None
of us here is certain for sure now, just what is up with this issue. In
any event, and as a precautionary measure the client is moving sites to a
different box.
