I view mail on my Windows machine, using OE5 and virus scan with NAV 2000.
(plain text only). As soon as I hit the message, my virus detection went off
with an alert.
I was able to quarantine the virus and continue reading email. I went back
to quarantine later and found the information that I sent to the list. I
have heard reports about something with ActiveX disabled. But, I don't know
much about the makeup of viruses... just that my detection agent was on when
it detected this one and it told me what, where, when, and how. So, it was
money well spent. At least for the Windows machine.
If you are using Linux, you don't have to worry about these things ;)
