I have added several PTR records and they do not show on DNS. When I look from the GUI, the PTR records are there. But when I look at /etc/named/pri.mydomain.com the PTR records are NOT there!
That's because PTR records do not go into the /etc/named/pri.mydomain.com file <wry grin>.
How many times do I have to say "Read the book"? You can't expect to do DNS right if you don't understand it.
The PTR records will be in a file named something like "pri.144.241.209.in-addr.arpa" if Cobalt is following naming conventions. I'm not using the gui right now, so I don't know if they are or not.
