RE: [cobalt-users] Moved to Raq2 will SSL cert

I transfered a Thawte SSL Cert from a RaQ2 to RaQ2. I'm not sure if this
would work for you, but it is worth a shot.

I went through the process of creating the csr on the new server, using the
exact same information that I used when I created the csr on the old server.
Then, I copied and pasted the contents of the server.crt on the old server
to the new server. When I ran the test, it was not enough. So I copied the
contents of the server.key file on the old server to the new server. Now
the cert works like a champ and I have no problems with it. Customers and
visitors do not even know the difference.

I hope this helps you.

Subject: [cobalt-users] Moved to Raq2 will SSL cert

I had to move from a Raq1 to a Raq2 last week. Now I'm wondering if my
Certificate from Thawte will too?

I've purchased and installed the Cobalt software, even completed the
upgrade. When I create a test certificate, everything is fine, the server
responds with the RedHat congrats page, just the CA is not valid. No real
problem there.

When I copy over the server.crt file with the real cert and restart the SSL
server, nothing, nada, zero zip. IE returns as "Server not found."

Now, when I've restarted the server using the Thawte certificate from the
original raq (server is still the same name), I get prompted for the
passphrase. I entered it and it passes but the page will never load. Only
with the test cert. I've deleted everything, vi'ed and created a file
server.crt...nothing.

Do I have to request a new cert from the new Raq2 server and install that
one to work? I've scanned the ports and 443 is open when I have the original
Thawte cert but nothing.

Please help! ;D

Thanks,

Sean Fay
