RE: [cobalt-users] GUI Security

This is definatly the wrong url for https encryption, as far as my
experience has been.

I was wondering about the web encryption as well
did multiple port scans on the old raq2 when this page came out looking for
those open ports, maybe I was just doing it wrong !@!

AS for the raq3, I have had no problems when the ssl was installed, or
generated properly.
Did you install the SSL thru the web interface?, because The raq3 is
supposed to "automatically" force the /admin traffic into https when you do
it this way, regardless of its nature from thawte or self signed

Many Thanks

Subject: [cobalt-users] GUI Security

I'm completely lost with Cobalt's KB instructions for securing (encrypting)
the GUI's pages with SSL and ssh on a RaQ3.
http://www.cobalt.com/support/kb/search.php3?ques=ssh&qid=534&language=1

I have SSH and a certificate installed for the RaQ3, and both seem to
function normally, as far as "normal" goes. Is the above KB telling me
that 8081 is going to encrypt everything in the GUI's admin, once SSH is
installed and running, or does the above url not even apply to what I want
to do?

What I'm trying to get is the Server Admin to run with a https
URL. Instead the server sits there spinning it's wheels in the web browser
and not doing anything. Doing stuff here with my shirt floppying around in
the wind for the whole world to view is getting me really nervous!

Thanks!
Liz
