Did you try un gzipping it and then untaring it?

Also, take a look at the footer (yikes, big file) as well.  I had a
discussion about 8-10 months ago with one of the Cobalt technicians about
manual restoration.  I don't remember exactly how it was done, so you'll
have to bear with me.

And I don't work as an SE for a Cobalt Reseller anymore.  When I get home
tonight, I'll try to make a quickie small backup on the Qube I've got and
see if I can make it happen.
